Road cycling took a long time to find its place in the world of children. Manufacturers focused mainly on mountain and hybrid bikes, and young road cyclists often didn’t have many options. They had to settle for scaled-down versions of adult bikes or compromises that didn’t really benefit their riding.
At Beany, we decided there had to be a better way. And so the Beany ZEN was born—the first children’s road bike in our lineup and a bike the market had long been missing.
Just as with all our models, we started from scratch with the ZEN. We didn’t simply scale down an adult bike; instead, we designed every detail of the bike to match a child’s anatomy.
Children have different proportions, different strength levels, and different demands when it comes to handling a bike than adults do. What works on a road bike for an adult racer may not work for a child. That’s exactly why we pay so much attention to the geometry, handling, and ergonomics of every model.
The result is a bike that is lightweight, fast, comfortable, safe, and—most importantly—fits children perfectly.

Junior bikes have their own unique characteristics, and this is especially true in road cycling. That’s why we’ve equipped the ZEN with components that are safe and easy for children to handle.
At the heart of the Beany ZEN is a super-lightweight 6061 aluminum frame with triple-butted tubes, which helps kids tackle hills and longer routes without unnecessary effort. Shimano Sora 9-speed shifting ensures smooth gear changes, while Tektro mechanical disc brakes provide reliable stopping power in any weather. The bike also features a range of Solely.JR components, which we at Beany develop in-house specifically for children and juniors.

Ideal for riders between 120 and 140 cm tall. Weighing just 9.3 kg, it is one of the lightest in its category.
BEANY ZEN 700
For juniors between 140 and 160 cm tall. It weighs just 9.9 kg and offers everything a young road cyclist needs for both training and longer rides.
