Zdeňka Vlášková - mini-interview
Former biathlete, three-time Olympic Games participant, mother and cycling lover.
What is your opinion on the importance of sport in a child's life?
I am not an advocate that a child should attend a sports club, everyone has a talent for something different. But what is very important is that children spend their free time outdoors in nature and not sitting doma❗️Vybavení like a children's bike, skis should be given to every child if the family's financial situation allows it.
What was your childhood sport like?
As a little girl I didn't think I would do biathlon one day. Since I grew up in the Giant Mountains and my father was a biathlon coach, I didn't end up avoiding it. But it has to be said that nobody pushed me into biathlon. As a child I attended various clubs. I started to have sport dreams during the Olympic Games in Lillehammer, when I tensely watched the events and the atmosphere of the Olympic Games and thought, I would like to experience that one day.
